This multi-phase program consists of merging the rails of the French Quarter Street Car line, the Convention Center Street/Riverfront Streetcar Line and the Uptown/Loyola Streetcar Line. The first of three phases of the program adds a new streetcar line connecting the Union Passenger Terminal and Canal Street. This route is along the main CBD corridor and impacts public and private underground utilities, communications, parks and roadways. It affects local businesses and residents.

Royal has been contracted to provide Construction Management services for inspections, document administration, a portion of the engineering management, and change order management.

Royal field inspectors observe demolition, excavation, utility re-location, piling, concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and track-work to ensure compliance with drawings and specification. Our inspectors also verify construction quantities and provide daily quality and progress reporting as well as photo documentation of the project. Separately from field inspection, Royal provides office engineering, overall program document control, administrative support, and seconded DBE compliance support.
